Madeline Wise plays the role of "Katie" in the third episode of the third season of Crashing. She is the ex-girlfriend of Pete Holmes' character, Pete. Katie is a yoga instructor and the two reconnect after Pete's wife, Jess, has left him. Madeline Wise does an excellent job of portraying a woman who is both sympathetic and determined to get what she wants. She conveys Katie's feelings of hurt and confusion over Pete's actions, as well as her determination to get closure. Her performance is both nuanced and powerful, and she brings a great deal of depth to the role.
